Arctic Palimpsest (2022-23)

Artistic research of the multi-layered atmospheres of the city of Luleå in the Swedish North.

Large drawings based on ethnographic sketches and an art book.

Drawing People Waiting (2022)

This video features sketches from different public transport places in Estonia, Finland, Germany, and Russia.

Display: Lumbung Lounge installation, a project by Guerilla Architects and Along the Lines, at the Stellwerk Galerie, in Kulturbahnhof, Kassel, from July 22nd through July 30th, in parallel to documenta fifteen, 2022.


Along the Laagna Road (2022)

Sketches from bus stops along the Laagna road in Lasnamäe, Tallinn, Estonia.

STRANGE(R)DISTANCE (2021)

Sketches at the Viru Bus Terminal, the major transport hub in Tallinn, at the time of the social distance of the pandemic 2020-2021.

The project is conducted in the residency at Vent Space, a student-run initiative of the Estonian Academy of the Arts, in collaboration with Anete Kruusmägi, an Estonian poet who wrote short stories about the atmosphere at the terminal. Stories and more sketches are here.


Berliners (2018-2019)

Ticket-sized sketches with stamps from the validators at public transport stations in Berlin, Germany.

Display: Die Kollisionen Show at Ufer Studios, University of Arts (UdK Berlin) in the frame of the course “Regionalexpress 1. Künstlerische Recherche und ortsbezogenes Arbeiten” curated by Ina Weber and Annett Gröschner.


Tramway 27 (2018)

Sketches from the stops are on display inside the tram 27 in the Timiryazevskii district in Moscow, Russia.


NON-PLACE PEOPLE (2016-2017)

The project consists of sketches made at the stations of the Moscow Central Circle (which opened in 2016) and graphic works based on the brand colours of the Russian Railways Company.

TRAM CITY LINE: Graphic Diary (2016)

The project consists of around a hundred sketches from the stops of tram line number one, the longest and oldest in the Siberian city of Irkutsk, Russia.

Sketches together with my short stories about each stop are published in English and in Russian.
